Cocktail Umbrella Lampshades
From Boing Boing, check out these cool lampshades made from cocktail umbrellas. They come in a few different models: overhead lights, miniature desk lamps, glowing holiday ornaments, and in several different color schemes. They’re really lovely looking.
Unfortunately they’re not at all green. As far as I can tell them make the parasols for the lamps — instead of using old ones — and they’re varnished, and sprayed with who-knows-what to glow in the dark. Blah. Awesome concept, though. Surely one could construct some handmade, recycled models.
