Awesome, Functional Reuse: Secret Storage Books

And now for something much lighter. From Boing Boing, check out Secret Storage Books. They hollow out old hardcovers so they can be repurposed as hiding places, which is awesome in a few different ways: firstly, using a hollowed book as a case is downright cool; secondly, it’s a great, functional way to keep using old books (they use old waste books, like library rejects and books that charities can’t resell); and thirdly, they’re handmade, by a family business no less — they even recycle the paper that gets cuts out in the hollowing process. Also, you can get one made from just about any book you want, so you can choose one that’ll fit in on your shelf for maximum secrecy.
