Climate Change Has Opened the Northwest Passage

Again from Treehugger, the Northwest Passage now actually exists thanks to arctic ice hitting a record low this week. This is the first time it’s ever completely opened.

    You know what would be interesting? A long list of every “we are fucked” sign from the environment, just in the past 10 years.

    You know, I think thats our intention with this blog, more or less (over the last one year). A comprehensive list would be really interesting/terrifying, though.

    Hmmm, each item on that list could be a link to the story. But thinking over all the environmental issues you’ve covered in one year, I’m thinking 10 years might be too much for people to process. Which could make it even more effective.

    Yeah, definitely, “These are the signs that we’re fucked just in the last year” packs a mean punch. Maybe I’ll compile it the next time I’m idly browning the interweb.
