Purifying Drinking Water With Sunlight

From the brand-spanking-new Boing Boing Gadgets, take a loot at the Solar Bottle. The bottles use SODIS — solar water disinfection: heat and UV rays are harnessed to destroy microorganisms, protecting people from diseases like hepatitis A, cholera, and typhoid. Each bottle holds 4 liters (about a gallon). Two can be clipped back-to-back for portability, and each has a handle that doubles as a stand to make it easy to angle the bottle for maximum sun exposure.
