Hrm.. You should listen to the last song we ever heard from Mangum, which was Little Birds

http://the-collective.net/~sashwap/media.html

The sexual .. well.. there's no sexual imagery per se, atleast, none that is not obvious. Nevertheless it deals with sexual themes with far more clarity than one might see in his other songs-- particularly surrounding homosexuality. It makes one re-evaluate some previous songs as well...

Also, Mangum was .. sighted... a few times at the end of 2008, though, I haven't seen anything else since. It's regretful..... his..poetry is missed.

I found it comforting to know that when you're too drunk and stoned to use Ableton Live at 3am, there's always your blog, one of your creative outlets, waiting patiently for you to feed it something fun.

My blog always loves me. He greets me with a wagging tale and is always happy to see me when I return, no matter how distant I've been the last few months ...even when I can't remember how to embed a youtube video, he supports me and rewards me and makes me laugh!

I hope your blog loves you unconditionally just as mine does me.

I also like the smell of sandalwood and I have a new bicycle helmet that's very very very aerodynamic looking.

ummmm

bye

thanks

I think we should FORCE all of the companies that produce plastic to donate money to create a PLASTIC EATING FLOATING BOEY that simply floats around on the ochean eating up plastic unitil it gets full then it uses GPS to find the nearest recycling center where it proceeds to dump it's contents where they belong. After about 10,000 years its job would be complete and we could put it in a museum and name it after me.

Thanks!

No one can avoid noticing an elephant in the room. But respectable folks somehow know it's not polite to mention that it's there.

In response to the City of Vancouver's upcoming "Greenest City in the World" initiative (it will be announced sometime this week), the Greenest Elephant in the Room is dedicated to raising the "forbidden question" of reducing the workweek.

It's the most immediate and direct way to reduce material throughput while preserving and even creating jobs. Yet even as the current economic and environmental crises make the reduction of working time more urgent, serious proposals to do so are treated as curiosities from the fringe. Why is this so?

The Greenest Elephant in the Room suspects that there are a lot of economists, politicians and other respectable folks who would rather be silly than look silly by marching out of step with their silly peers. As John Maynard Keynes remarked of bankers, "Worldly wisdom teaches that it is better for reputation to fail conventionally than to succeed unconventionally."
