SwashBot: Cute And Crustaceous
Here’s a video about a cute tripodal robot made out of spare parts and a remote control helicopter toy. It makes great little sounds, and its movements are really pretty organic, making it all the more endearing.

Oh, that is so cool! I want one! But….the wild and wooly Oscar cat might kill it, and then be sad because he broke the “toy”. He’s an odd fellow. He’s the size of a toddler, no kidding. The Mr. brought him to visit over at a friend’s house, and they got a picture of their three year old holding him. He was longer than her, his back paws dragged the ground. He’s part Maine Coon, (must be) and it shows, even the Vet agreed.

Hahaha, thanks for the link, crabfu. That cat gets along with it fine, katk — maybe there’s hope for yours yet.

ROFL, that cat even resembles the wild and wooly Oscar! Except…Oscar I think would have gotten a more crazed look in his eyes, and either ran away, or gone in for the “PLAYPLAYPLAYaccidentally kill” routine. *favorites videos to show the Mr.* I waaaant one! It’s cute! I might have to master the skills needed to make my own! Er, but I might have to find a way to give it pinchy claws of some kind, so it can defend itself. (Rhiow *WOULD* go ninja kitty on it, and slay it. She’s part Oriental, which has the same termperment of Siamese, they were breed originates from Siamese.)

Note: Not pinchy claws that can actually harm, more a threat display/deterrant.

Katk, the way you describe Oscar reminds me of a Ranch Cat of mine who lived entirely outside fending off coyotes for the first seven years of his life. He’s HUGE, very sweet, and his name is Racoon (no relation to any as far as we know, though). He’s a little unpredictable, but great.

That thing is super terrifying. I almost wept because of its horrific red eyes of doom. Miss you guys.
